The guessing game Wordle exploded in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a part of my University of Minnesota coursework, I developed an algorithm to solve Wordle puzzles with the goal of being more successful than a human player. My University of Minnesota coursework was focused on back end and algorithm development. Despite a very limited knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and other front end web tools after graduation, I used the 5 months since to challenge myself and learn more about web development.
